(VOVworld)- During his visit to Myanmar, Chairman Hung delivered a speech at Myanmar’s Parliament. This reflects Myanmar’s respect for the Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman and Vietnam in general as well as its determination to boost the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the two legislative bodies.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung addresses Myanmar Parliament

Hung expressed his belief that Myanmar’s Parliament, together with the Government will achieve great successes in national construction and development, bringing a better life to the people. Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said: “Boosting the development of the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Myanmar is not only the objective requirement but also the desire of both peoples, and is the responsibility of the leaders of both countries. This will enhance the success of the modernization and development process of each country, as well as contributing to maintaining and consolidating cooperation and the prosperity.”

In the afternoon, Chairman Hung received Yangon regional parliament Speaker and Yangon Mayor. He praised fruitful cooperation between Yangon and Ho Chi Minh City and called for more support to boost Vietnamese investment in Myanmar as well as cultural cooperation.  Later the same day, Chairman Hung met local Vietnamese and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar. He urged them to continue to contribute opinions to the constitutional amendment draft and other national important issues.
