At a press conference on Wednesday, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Manh Hung said that during the year-end session, lawmakers adopted 11 laws and 17 resolutions, contributed ideas on 10 draft laws, reviewed the implementation of policies and laws on fire prevention and fire fighting from 2014-2018, and held Q&A sessions.

Mr. Hung said: “The draft laws and resolutions published to the National Assembly closely follow State policies, Party guidelines, and the 2013 Constitution, creating consistency in Vietnam’s legal framework. Legislators worked to fine-tune laws on human rights and citizens’ fundamental rights and obligations. They also focused on improving socialist-oriented market economy, the organization of civil servants, and relations between employers and employees, and localizing international treaties and agreements Vietnam has signed.”
