(VOVworld) - National Assembly deputies discussed Tuesday the draft Civil Code based on opinions contributed by the public earlier. Discussions focused on a number of issues including the responsibility of authorized agencies in the protection of civil rights, forms of ownership, the consequences of illegal civil transactions, and lending interest rates.

The government asked the Committee to comment on the right over family names, last names, and middle names as well as the right to gender transformation. Head of the Finance-Budget Committee Phung Quoc Hien proposed that the draft include regulations on gender transformation, which will be the foundation for other laws specifying other related details. National Assembly deputies also discussed the draft Referendum Law and the government report on Article 60 of the 2014 Social Insurance Law.
