The attack happened in the village of Dakasoye, about 20 km south of Kano, during a march by followers of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria.
The bomber was dressed in black like everyone else. His accomplice was initially arrested and confessed they were sent by Boko Haram.
The same day, Nigerian authorities said Boko Haram is plotting suicide attacks in Abuja. A leader of Abuja’s security agency said the intelligence source reveals that Boko Haram plans to use female suicide bombers for attacks in crowded areas like churches and markets. The leader called on people to be highly vigilant and inform suspects to the police.
