Numerous activities celebrating Hung Kings' Commemoration held in Phu Tho

(VOVWORLD) - A wide range of cultural and sports events are taking place across Phu Tho province as part of the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the Cultural – Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land.

On Sunday, at Kinh Thien Palace, Thuong (Upper) Temple in the Hung Kings Temple Historical Relic Site, the winners of the contest on making Banh Chung (square sticky rice cakes) and Banh Giay (round sticky rice cake) offered the traditional cakes to the Hung Kings. The offering included 18 banh chung (square sticky rice cakes) and 18 banh giay (round sticky rice cakes), each weighing 1 kilogram. This meaningful ritual symbolizes the people's gratitude to their ancestors and conveys wishes for national peace, harmony, and the well-being of all families.

The same day, the Viet Tri City Open Rowing Tournament was held at Van Lang Park Lake, drawing 270 athletes from nine teams representing Thanh Thuy, Tam Nong, Doan Hung, Cam Khe district, and Viet Tri City. This annual tournament is part of Phu Tho province’s ongoing efforts to preserve and promote the traditional art of rowing.

In addition to these highlights, numerous cultural and sporting events are being organized throughout the week.
