(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese embassy in Cambodia held a New Year meeting on Sunday. At the meeting, Charge d’affaires Nguyen Trac Toan reviewed Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements over the past year, in which Vietnam’s economic growth increased 6.68 percent.

Mr. Toan reaffirmed that Vietnam’s Party and State always consider Vietnamese abroad an indispensable part of the Vietnamese nation.

Overseas Vietnamese in Macau, China, held a welcome ceremony for a Vietnamese art troupe that will entertain Vietnamese people living in Macau on the occasion of Tet. The ceremony was co-organized by the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Macau and Hong Kong, and the Vietnam Fellow-Countrymen Friendship Association in Macau. After Macau, the art troupe will head to Osaka, Japan, as part of a tour of Asian countries sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam’s diplomatic offices abroad.
