(VOVworld)- Like other overseas Vietnamese around the world, Vietnamese living  in France have showed interest in proposed amendments to Vietnam's1992 Constitution.

A conference to receive suggestions from Overseas Vietnamese on revisions to the 1992 Constitution

Tran Bang, a member of the overseas Vietnamese executive board in France, said the three biggest concerns of the Vietnamese in France are national sovereignty, Vietnam’s frontier and territory, the status  of Vietnam, and the living standard of the Vietnamese people. Mr Bang said: “In a changing world, Vietnam is a country  impacted by many external things, so  it is unnecessary to ask for some very specific  things to be included in the Constitution. The most important thing is that the new Constitution will help Vietnam  achieve new progress compared with the model of development based on the 1992 Constitution.”

Mrs Nguyen Thi Hong Ha, Constitution Law Post-graduate student, who has been working for the Constitutional council of France for the last three years, said: “After taking a close look at the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution, I am very glad that the Government has decided to add more rights for the people.”

There have been many good ideas, suggestions and feedbacks from people of all strata,  including overseas Vietnamese.
