Addressing the event, Tran Duc Binh, Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka, praised activities organized by the Vietnamese community in Kobe last year including courses to teach the Vietnamese language for OV children and a Miss Ao dai Vietnam contest.
The programs have helped not only maintain Vietnam’s mother tongue and culture, but also promote the cultural values of Vietnamese people to the locals.
Ambassador Binh thanked the municipal authorities and the Japanese-Vietnamese Friendship Association for their support for the Vietnamese Association in Kobe over the past year and hoped that the association will continue to make more practical contributions to the homeland and Vietnam-Japan relations.
