Pakistan to take Kashmir dispute to International Court of Justice

(VOVWORLD) - Pakistan said on Tuesday it would take its dispute with India over Kashmir to the International Court of Justice, after New Delhi revoked the special status of its part of the region earlier this month.

If Pakistan goes ahead, a decision by the International Court of Justice would be advisory only. This would only not be the case if both countries agreed beforehand that the ruling should be binding. A spokesman for India's Foreign Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
