Paragliding Festival 2022 to open on Sept 25
(VOVWORLD) - A festival to promote the Mu Cang Chai terraced fields in Yen Bai province was organized to coincide with the Muong Lo Culture and Tourism Festival and a ceremony to receive UNESCO recognition of the Thai ethnic group's Xoe dancing as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Highlights of the festival are a paragliding festival themed "Flying over scenic spots", a helicopter tour of the terraced rice fields, the Mu Cang Chai ULTRA TRAIL marathon, the Mong Pan-pipe Festival 2022, a traditional Black Mong ritual called the New Rice Celebration, and an art program.
The festival will continue through mid-October.
