Party Central Committee discusses draft documents for 2021 National Party Congress
(VOVWORLD) - The 12th Party Central Committee opened its 10th meeting in Hanoi on Thursday to discuss draft documents to be submitted to the 13th National Party Congress in 2021 and preparations for all-level Party congresses on the threshold of the national congress.

In his opening address, Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong requested that the meeting look at a draft political report, a draft report on the 10-year socio-economic development strategy for 2021-2030, and another on Party building and the execution of Party statutes.
Mr. Trong said: “The 13th National Party Congress will work out strategies for the 2021-2026 period and beyond. We will look back to the past and look forward to the future. At the just-concluded Politburo meeting, I asked localities to review their performance and to project how a locality, ministry, or sector will be like until 2030 and 2045. It is difficult and requires meticulous research over a long period of time.”
The Party leader and President stressed the importance of the 10th meeting to completing preparations by current Party Central Committee for the next National Party Congress. He asked all delegates to contribute wisdom and show a sense of responsibility in finalizing pending reports and projects.
