Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong receives leaders of Japanese parties
(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong met with Secretary General of the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party Sadakazu Tanigaki on Wednesday. Mr. Trong said as the ruling parties, the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Liberal Democratic Party have an important role in maintaining political stability for both countries’ relations.
He praised the Liberal Democratic Party for strengthening bilateral cooperation and increasing ODA for Vietnam. He expressed his wish to enhance the two parties’ relations in the future through exchanging delegations and sharing information. The two leaders witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on enhancing cooperation between the two Parties.

At a meeting with President of the New Komeito Party Natsuo Yamaguchi, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong thanked his personal goodwill from Vietnam and New Komeito Party’s support for Vietnamese-Japanese relations. Mr. Trong said he wanted to improve relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the New Komeito Party which will benefit the Vietnam-Japan Extensive Strategic Partnership.
