Earlier on Friday, the Party leader visited Lai Chau hydro power plant in Nam Nhun district. Located in the upstream of Da River, the power plant has a designed capacity of 1200 MW with the 3rd turbine group to begin generate power this Novermber, one year ahead of schedule.
Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong: “The hydro power plant project has made major achievement thanks to hard work, innovation and resourcefulness of Electricity of Vietnam staff. They have made important success despite challenges in land clearance and relocation.”
The Party leader believed that the hydro power plant will provide best quality electricity to boost social economic development.
