Peace talk for Syria to be held in Kazakhstan in late January
(VOVworld) - Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Wednesday that the negotiations on the settlement of the Syrian armed conflict will begin in Astana, Kazakhstan, on January 23. Mr. Cavusoglu also said that Russian officials will visit Turkey next week to discuss the framework for Syrian peace talks.

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin told reporters on Wednesday that the United Nations has been invited to the Astana talks between the Syrian government and opposition.
