(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang has praised the people’s police force’s achievements in strengthening the rule of law, protecting state assets and people’s lives and combating hostile forces and crimes.

Speaking at a meeting to review the implementation of the Politburo’s Directive on following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, Sang asked the police force to combine the pursuit of that directive with the drive to follow both Uncle Ho’s teachings for the people’s police as well as the Party resolution on Party building. Sang said:“ It is still very complicated to safeguard national security and social order because criminals always try to entice and incite the police shaking and corrupting their morals and wills. So the police need to foster their morality and political stance. The police force has proven its political stance in defending the security, law and order and protecting national interests”.

On this occasion, President Sang presented the title “Hero of the Armed Forces” to the Special Scout team and to the Economic Security Department of the Security General Department. He also conferred the Order of Military Merit to Politburo Member and Minister of Public Security, General Tran Dai Quang.
