(VOVworld) – Sixty photos featuring the 70-year history of Vietnam’s diplomatic sector are on display in Vientiane, Laos.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on Monday, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung said Vietnam has set up its diplomatic ties with 185 countries and become a member of 70 regional and international organizations, adding that the time-honored friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation with Laos always tops its multilateral external relations.

Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith said that the two countries’ diplomatic sectors have regularly exchanged information and experience and have supported each other over the past seven decades.

The photo exhibit will run through this Sunday.
