(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked Kien Giang provincial authorities to develop Phu Quoc Island into a leading special economic zone in Vietnam.

At Friday working session with provincial leaders, Mr Phuc praised Kien Giang’s economic strength and efforts to improve local living conditions.

He urged Kien Giang to do its utmost to become a prosperous province and renovate itself comprehensively based on its competitive advantages and apply high-tech in tourism, agriculture, maritime economy, support industry, and processing industry.
