(VOVWORLD) - Phu Yen province’s authorities have met with representatives from sectors and localities on strengthening management of illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

The provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that following the EU’s warning about illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, Phu Yen province has deployed many measures to prevent illegal fishing activities.
381 fishing boats have installed positioning devices. Boats which are 15-meters long or more are marked as qualified for fishing.
