(VOVworld) – The Defense Ministry of Vietnam has adopted a plan to organize a ceremony in anticipation of the 70^th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and 25^th anniversary of All People's National Defense Festival, December 22nd.

The celebration aims to review the glorious history of the Vietnam People’s Army through which to encourage national pride, the spirit of self-help for self-improvement, and solidarity for the entire party, army, and people.

Radio the Voice of Vietnam will broadcast live the ceremony which will take place in Hanoi on December 20^th.

In related news, on Friday an exhibition featuring books, newspapers, and photos about the Vietnam People’s Army opened in Thai Nguyen province. On display are more than 1,000 books, 200 paper articles, and 50 photos recording the construction and development of the Vietnamese military forces, President Ho Chi Minh, and General Vo Nguyen Giap.
