(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked Bac Ninh province to follow the government’s guidelines to become one of Vietnam’s richest localities.

Addressing a ceremony on Sunday to mark Bac Ninh’s 185^th founding anniversary and 20 years of re-establishment, PM Phuc said he hopes the province will grow rapidly and sustainably to become a centrally-run city in 2022. He hailed the achievements of Bac Ninh over the past 20 years and said it should strive to be one of the most creative and competitive cities in Asia.

Along with boosting rapid growth, Bac Ninh should preserve its unique cultural values, PM Phuc stressed. He asked the province to learn from Binh Duong how to apply smart technology in culture, education, healthcare, and society.
