(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a Lunar New Year banquet for the diplomatic corps in Hanoi on Monday, where he wished Ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, and foreign friends a happy New Year.

He reiterated Vietnam’s consistent policy of independence, self-reliance, and working with the world community to build a world of peace, friendship, stability, cooperation, and development. Reviewing Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements over the past decade, Mr. Phuc said Vietnam welcomed state leaders from 24 countries and several international organizations last year.
“At the World Economic Forum 2017, I discussed with the state leaders the global economic recovery, opportunities derived from the 4th industrial revolution, worries about protectionism, economic and financial risks, terrorism, environmental pollution, and climate change. All countries must work together for peace and stability and cooperate for their mutual interests, respecting the UN Charter and international law”, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed.
