(VOVworld) - Ho Chi Minh City’s Cho Ray hospital has been praised for its excellent services and support for operations and personnel training at satellite hospitals. The praise came from Vo Van Thuong, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education, during his visit Sunday to Cho Ray hospital. Thuong urged the hospital to boost its research efforts, increase international cooperation, and improve its facilities and services.

The same day, Thuong paid a New Year visit to the headquarters of Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV). He asked the station to invest in new technologies and program content to meet audience demand.
On Sunday, a delegation from the Steering Committee for the Northwest Region, led by its deputy head Hau A Lenh, visited Sapa district in Lao Cai province. They wished local people good health and happiness in the year ahead. The delegation delivered 675 gifts to poor households, and blankets, confectionery, and clothing to students at Suoi Thau secondary school.
