(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese community in Laos plays an important role in strengthening the special comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at Tuesday’s meeting at the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos.

PM Dung, who is in Laos to attend the eighth summit of the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Triangle, briefed overseas Vietnamese in Laos of Vietnam’s socio-economic performance in the current international context: "Vietnamese people in Laos can make both physical and spiritual contributions to their homeland. In addition to sending remittances to and increasing investment in their home country, they can promote beautiful images of Vietnam’s land and people to international friends with their harmonious integration into the host country, which enhances mutual trust and understanding"
