(VOVworld) - PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has stressed that water and forest are important for Central Highlands region.

Mr. Phuc made the remarks at a meeting in Dac Lak province on Monday evening with Central Highlands provinces to review the region’s socio-economic development and ensure its security and defense.

He asked the local authorities to focus on forest protection, development, seriously settle the deforestration, and pay more attention to land issues and the local production.

Mr. Phuc called for increased care for the religious life, enhance solidarity among local ethnic people, and accelerate administrative reforms to better serve the local people and the business community.
