PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc: Resolutely deal with law violators in environmental incident

(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his deputies Trinh Dinh Dung and Vo Duc Dam on Sunday chaired a meeting with leaders of central provinces affected by the mass fish deaths. The meeting aimed to fine-tune measures to help the local people stabilize their lives.

PM Phuc urged the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and relevant agencies to continue its investigation into the cause of the tragedy. He said if necessary, foreign experts may be called for help. The PM ordered the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to work with foreign scientists to announce the cause of the incident as soon as possible.
PM Phuc agreed that each affected person will be provided with 15kg of rice within 1 month and a half and fishermen are assisted with a package of 60 billion VND and exempt from interest rates.
