(VOVworld) – The partnership between Vietnam and the World Bank will continue to thrive, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at a reception Tuesday for Ousmane Dione, the World Bank (WB) Country Director for Vietnam.

Phuc highlighted the WB’s importance to Vietnam and asked the WB to continue supporting Vietnam’s socio-economic development, particularly its poverty reduction, health care, and climate change response.

Mr. Dione congratulated the Vietnamese government on its impressive development progress, saying Vietnam sets a good example for other developing countries to follow. He said the WB will do its utmost to realize more accomplishments in cooperation with Vietnam.
