PM praises legislatures’ contributions to Vietnam-France cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived at Orly airport in Paris, France, on Wednesday, starting his three-day official visit to France at the invitation of his French counterpart Jean Castex.

Upon his arrival, the PM and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam laid wreaths at a monument of President Ho Chi Minh and visited the Ho Chi Minh space in Montreuil, about 15km east of Paris.

An official welcome ceremony was held for Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam was held at the Invalides Palace, Paris. Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met President of the French Senate Gerard Larcher following the official welcome ceremony on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the very important contributions of the two countries’ legislatures to strengthening the multifaceted cooperation relationship between Vietnam and France, including the process of promoting cooperation between localities. He expected the two sides to work closely to successfully organize the 12th conference on cooperation between localities in Hanoi in 2022 and expressed his hope that the French side will continue to help build medical capacity, education, and culture for Vietnam.
Larcher agreed on joint work to effectively realize the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA). He also expressed his support for the early ratification of the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) to optimize the potential of economic-trade-investment cooperation between Vietnam and France, and EU member states.
