He urged people to stay at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Mr. Phuc stressed the urgent need for stronger and faster actions in the fight against the epidemic including continued suspension of non-essential services.
“Social distancing is crucial to prevent community transmission. The risk is now very high as streets and beaches have remain crowded and gatherings of more than 20 people have continued to occur. People should stay at home for at least 15 days. Government employees should work online except in special circumstances,” he said.
The Prime Minister said the Government will discuss support for very low-income earners on Wednesday.
