(VOVworld)-Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh has lauded the time-honored ties between Vietnam and India, stressing that bilateral friendship and cooperation have been growing over the past 45 years. Ms. Thinh told an international conference on Vietnam-India relations that political trust has created a firm foundation for bilateral cooperation to flourish in various fields.The conferece
was held in Hanoi on Tuesday as part of a series of events to mark 45 years of diplomatic ties and 10 years of strategic partnership between the two countries.

“Both countries should make the most of their similarities and remove barriers that hinder the cooperation progress. It’s important to clarify Vietnam’s role in India’s Act East policy,” Madam Thinh stressed.
Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Parvathaneni Harish said Vietnam and India have seen stronger cooperation at regional and international forums, especially at the UN, the non-aligned movement, the WTO, ASEAN, ADMM+, the East Asia Summit, and ASEM.
"This is a great time to represent India in Vietnam as we plan to lay the foundation for the next 45 years of bilateral relationship. I’m confident that our future as the nations in the region and the community of nations is bright, and our bilateral relationship will continue to prosper and flourish,” Ambassador Harish said.
