(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang arrived in Phnom Penh on Tuesday afternoon, beginning a state visit to Cambodia at the invitation of King Norodom Sihamoni.

Immediately after his arrival, he visited the Vietnamese Embassy and met representatives of the Vietnamese community in Cambodia. He asked Vietnamese representative offices in Cambodia to boost economic, cultural, and defense diplomacy, to boost bilateral ties and contribute to organizing the celebration of the 50
th anniversary of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties next year.
Mr. Quang expressed his hope that Vietnamese people will unite, support each other, strictly obey local laws and contribute more to their homeland.
President Tran Dai Quang’s visit to Cambodia reflects the development of the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
