(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Saturday cut the ribbon to unveil a complex called “Cooperatives with Uncle Ho” in the central province of Nghe An to celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.
The “Cooperatives with Uncle Ho” complex is inaugurated on May 16, 2020 at the Kim Lien special national historical relic in Sen village, the central city of Nghe An. |
The 350,000 USD project, now part of the Kim Lien special national historical relic in Sen village, demonstrates Vietnamese cooperative members’ respect for President Ho.
The same day, Prime Minister Phuc attended the inauguration of Chung Son Temple dedicated to President HCM's ancestors. The temple is located in Kim Lien commune, Nghe An province.
In France, the Vietnamese Embassy and the government of Montreuil city paid a floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his statue inside Montreuil park on Friday. Ambassador Nguyen Thiep affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh was a great leader who led the Vietnamese people to victories on the road to socialism.
Relations between Vietnam and France have stood the test of time and grown strongly over the years, said Mr. Thiep.

Montreuil mayor Patrice Bessac spoke highly of President Ho’s contributions not only to Vietnam but also to France and elsewhere around the world.
“We respect President Ho, one of the important figures who helped put an end to colonization. It’s our honor to attend today’s ceremony to commemorate his birthday. As the mayor of Montreuil city, I reiterate France’s desire to strengthen friendship and cooperation with Vietnam,” said mayor Bessac.
Earlier, the Vietnamese embassy in Ukraine launched an online writing contest on President HCM and Vietnam’s land and people.
