President Luong Cuong meets PM Ishiba Shigeru

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam and Japan efficiently implement signed cooperation agreements while promoting new cooperation contents, President Luong Cuong suggested at Monday’s reception in Hanoi for visiting Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru.

Mr. Cuong underscored the need for both to promote science and technology cooperation and implement specific cooperation projects in digital transformation, green transition, high-quality human resource training, semiconductors, and AI.
The Vietnamese State leader also proposed Japan support Vietnam in improving its capacity to respond to climate change and promote high-tech agricultural cooperation.
PM Ishiba welcomed the two sides' recent announcement of the establishment of the 2+2 dialogue mechanism at the deputy foreign and defense minister level and expressed his wish that the two countries will further strengthen defense and security cooperation.
They agreed on strengthening coordination, cooperating and supporting each other on regional and global issues of mutual concern and in multilateral mechanisms.
