Welcoming the delegation at the airport were Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore Ambassador to Vietnam Jaya Ratnam, Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Mai Phuoc Dung, and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore. 

During the visit, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc will meet President Halimah Yacob, hold talks with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and meet NA Chairman Tan Chuan-Jin.

During the meetings, the leaders will discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation and deepen the Vietnam-Singapore Strategic Partnership. Representatives of the two countries’ ministries, sectors, and businesses will discuss cooperation in economics, trade, national defense, information and communication, science and technology. President Nguyen Xuan Phuc will also deliver a remark at the Vietnam-Singapore Business Forum and meet Singaporean businesses.
