President Nguyen Xuan Phuc inspects combat readiness in Military Region 7
(VOVWORLD) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Saturday inspected combat readiness of Military Region 7 and preparations to ensure security and safety for Sunday elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils

At the meeting, President Phuc, who is also Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council, said Military Region 7 has an extremely important position in politics, defense, security and foreign affairs. Military Region 7 is located on a land with revolutionary tradition and heroism, an important political and economic region of the country with a large population.
President Phuc urged the Military Region 7 to ensure security and safety for the elections, as well as enhance its combat readiness to deal with any contingencies.
The armed forces must continue to coordinate well with local authorities in the prevention and control of COVID-19, well manage officers and soldiers according to regulations, and resolutely prevent the pandemic from spreading into the military units, he said.
