President Quang said the ploughing festival, which represents Vietnam’s communal cultural practices, has been recognized as national intangible cultural heritage. He stressed the need to preserve Vietnam's traditions and encourage the people to develop agriculture in line with the Party's resolution on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. The President called for efforts to boost high-quality agricultural production and the building of new-style rural areas.

The same day, President Tran Dai Quang burnt incense and laid wreaths to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs at a monument in Ha Nam province. He also visited the Hoi Vu Company, which specializes in vegetable production for exports.
