(VOVworld) - President Tran Dai Quang received General Electric (GE) Chairman Jeffrey Immelt in Hanoi on Friday. 

The President reiterated Vietnam’s wish to promote comprehensive, practical, stable and long-term relations with the US for mutual benefit and on the basis of respecting each other’s political regime. He reiterated Vietnam’s extensive international integration policy and asked GE and other US businesses to care for the Vietnamese market and help boost Vietnam-US bilateral trade ties. Immelt said GE wants to cooperate with Vietnamese partners in capital, high-tech, and infrastructure industries.
