(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang received in Hanoi on Monday 50 representatives from more than 60,000 Vietnamese clothing enterprises, who are in Hanoi for the Award Ceremony for Outstanding Businesses. At the meeting, Sang highlighted the State’s efforts to expand garment and textile markets, and participate in various forums including the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The President praised the apparel sector’s efforts and contributions to economic growth, export turnover and job generation. He urged the sector to study more mechanisms, promote its competitive edge, exploit available resources, improve the quality of labor, and increase local content to boost development. Sang expressed his belief that the garment and textile sector would further promote the trade mark of Vietnamese apparel products and potentially increase export value to 25 billion USD in the near future.
