Earlier, addressing the Vietnam-Cuba Business Forum, President Sang said the event helped the two business communities expand investment and cooperation opportunities in each country, making bilateral ties more practical and effective.
Mr. Sang underlined the need for both sides to make breakthroughs in construction materials, infrastructure, telecommunications, oil and gas exploration, and technical support in IT.
He said “the forum illustrates the joint efforts so far and should be duplicated. I believe that recent advantages in Cuba’s external relations and major changes in its economic policies will make Cuba a potential market for Vietnamese enterprises which are interested in and want to set up trade and investment cooperation. This will improve our bilateral friendship.”
At the forum, President Sang witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between the Vietnam and Cuba Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The same day, he also visited a school named after President Ho Chi Minh in Havana and a rice production project in Calimete province.
