(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang visited Naval Group 2, Nghe An Border Guard Command, and Company 33 on Sunday as part of his ongoing visit to Nghe An province. He urged for efforts to build stronger and cleaner party organizations forces. On this occasion, the President paid tribute to 14 soldiers who died on Ngu island during the anti-US war of resistance to safeguard Vietnam’s air and sea territories.

Also on Sunday, President Tran Dai Quang beat the drum to open the the Cua Lo Tourism Festival 2017 in Cua Lo town, Nghe An province. Themed “Cua Lo converging and shining”, the festival aims to promote local coastal tourism potential. Addressing the opening ceremony, Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of Nghe An People’s Committee highlighted the beauty of the province which is home to thousands of historical and cultural relic sites and scenic spots, plus a diverse ecological system: “Cua Lo coast town is characterized by freshness, dynamism, and youthfulness. Cu Lo is the Vietnam’s first marine tourism urban area and a blue jewel of Nghe An. It welcomes 3 million visitors per year. Throughout its 110 years of establishment and 23 years of development, Cua Lo has become a modern, busy, and ideal tourist destination.”
There will be the national fishing festival, street music festival, an art program, and a trade and tourism fair.
