President Xi Jinping’s Vietnam visit promotes trade ties: Chinese expert
(VOVWORLD) - General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President Xi Jinping is in Vietnam for a state visit and attending the 25th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in the central city of Da Nang.
The visit shows the Chinese leader’s determination to promote the development and cooperation within APEC as well as APEC leaders’ connectivity with businesses.

Tang Guoqiang, chairman of the China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation Council, said the visit is improtant amid the flourishing relationship between Vietnam and China: “China is Vietnam’s biggest trade and tourism partner, while Vietnam is China’s top trade partner in the ASEAN. Border transactions between the two countries have thrived. President Xi Jinping’s visit to Vietnam will help boost bilateral trade ties”.
Chinese media have highlighted President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Vietnam. China’s Xinhua News Agency, The People's Daily, and the national TV and radio cover the time-honored friendship and development of the Vietnam-China relations.
On November 4, Huanqiu Shibao (Global Times), a daily Chinese newspaper, ran an article, saying the Vietnam-China coopeation will enter a more practical period. It stressed that the bilateral traditional relations have been nurtured and developed by the generations of leaders. The article called on the two Parties, States, and people to do more to develop their neighborliness and trade ties to make the Vietnam-China cooperation more practical.
