(VOVworld) – Gerindra Party chairman Suhardi said his party’s chief patron and presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto will accept the final presidential election result from the General Elections Commission (KPU). The statement was announced following increasing tensions in Indonesia’s socio-political situations in recent days as both candidates claimed victory in the presidential election last week based on the pollsters’ results by several independent agencies and research institutes. Many Indonesians have written open letters online asking the two candidates and their party coalitions to keep calm, submit to the will of the people and accept the official result which will be announced by the commission.
