(VOVworld) – The price stabilization program for Tet 2014 will benefit producers, distributors, and transporters. In previous years, the program helped only producers and distributors. The Ministry of Industry and Trade said product quality will be ensured and price stabilization will be applied before, during, and after the Tet holiday.
The Hanoi Trade Corporation (Hapro) is among those committed to sending hundreds of mobile vendors to the outskirts of Hanoi during Tet. Hapro’s Deputy General Director Chu Xuan Kien said: "Hapro has received 6 million USD from the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee to stabilize the prices of 7 essential goods. So far we have stockpiled goods under the price stabilization program worth 9.5 million USD and other types of goods worth 47.5 million USD. We will soon inform consumers about our price stabilization program."
Under the program, in addition to fixed locations, companies will dispatch mobile vendors selling items at stabilized prices to outlying areas, industrial zones, and processing zones to serve the poor and low-income workers.
