(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has arrived in China for the ASEAN - China Expo and the ninth ASEAN – China Business and Investment Summit in Nanning. His visit is being made at the invitation of the Chinese Government and the authorities of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The Prime Minister was welcomed at the airport by Yang Daoxi, Vice Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region  People’s Congress Xu Aili and several Vietnamese diplomats and students studying in Nanning. The ASEAN – China Expo and the ninth ASEAN – China Business and Investment Summit are held annually in Nanning by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and ASEAN’s member countries. The ASEAN- China Expo has become one of China’s foremost exhibitions and a popular destination for Chinese and ASEAN businesses and non-bloc partners. The ASEAN-China Business and Investment Summit is the premier senior level forum that promotes the strategic partnership between ASEAN and China. It is hoped it will also accelerate the creation of an ASEAN-China free trade area and an increase in economic and trade ties in the region. The total value of trade earned through the eight ASEAN-China expos has now reached more than US$12 billion and the various investment projects signed were worth nearly 50 billion USD.
