Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc told his visiting Kuwaiti counterpart in Hanoi on Friday that he hoped for closer friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Kuwait for development, mutual benefit and peace and friendship. The Kuwaiti Prime Minister praised efficient cooperation in oil and gas and called for early operation of the Nghi Son chemical oil refinery.
Both discussed the Middle East and East Sea issues and agreed on the necessity for active measures to resolve disputes by peaceful means in line with international law and UN principle. They condemned terrorism and supported international efforts to prevent terrorism and wished to promote information exchange for peace, stability and development.
The two Prime Ministers witnessed the signing of several cooperative agreements in arts, sports, and business communities.
