(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh have met prominent experts, intellectuals, businesses people who are Overseas Vietnamese and returning home for a national conference.

The 2-day conference, which concluded on Sunday in Ho Chi Minh City, was considered an open forum for participants to propose ideas to help develop Vietnam. Prime Minister Phuc thanked Overseas Vietnamese for their willingness and enthusiasm. He said: “I am very moved to listen to start-up stories of our Overseas Vietnamese. Dr. Nguyen Thanh My, President of the Overseas Vietnamese Business Association, has come back to Vietnam to open his business once again although he is over 60 years old. I understand that behind a start-up idea is a heartfelt feeling for the homeland. Our potential and development resources are not confined in Vietnam with a total area of 330,000km2, but elsewhere on this planet. Vietnam always welcomes back Vietnamese descendants with warm hearts, ambitions, ideas, and resources to contribute to national construction and defense.”
