(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed Vietnam’s stronger reform and international integration to create favorable conditions for foreign investors, including US investors.

At a reception in Hanoi on Thursday for the US business delegation who is visiting Vietnam to seek investment opportunities, the Prime Minister briefed the guests on the topic of his telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, saying that the Vietnamese government is ready to work with the Trump administration to boost bilateral ties. Mr. Phuc added that he is ready to visit the US to realize this commitment. He called on the US to continue to pay attention to the Vietnamese market, promptly recognize Vietnam’s market economy, and support Vietnam’s hosting of the APEC Summit 2017.

Representing the US business delegation, Michael Michalak, former US Ambassador to Vietnam pledged continued effort for trade liberalization through agreements and possible investment in areas such as wind power, finance, and insurance. He said that US businesses will try to invite President Trump to visit Vietnam for the APEC Summit later this year.
