(VOVworld)- The Youth Union is to celebrate its 86th anniversary on March 26 by granting awards to 87 outstanding young people nationwide.

The Youth Union Secretary Bui Quang Huy told a press briefing in Hanoi on Thursday that the youth representatives come from municipal and provincial Youth Unions nationwide. Among the awardees, 14 are ethnic minority people: “The awards are to promote innovative activities by young people, especially in the preservation of traditional culture, craft villages, urban civilization, new rural area building and administrative reforms. We will launch a movement to encourage young people’s participation in innovation as part of emulation campaigns for Youth Union members.”
