Provinces urged to prepare for landslide
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung on Saturday asked localities to stay vigilant and prepare to cope with landslide and mitigate losses of human lives and property.
At an online meeting with the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Response and leaders of 21 cities and provinces from Quang Ninh to Binh Dinh, the Deputy Prime Minister said the tropical low pressures is likely to develop into storms and cause torrential rains in many localities as well as flash floods and landslides in mountain and midland areas. He stressed the need to inspect reservoirs and dams to ensure safety.
