The plan aims to end violence and restore stability in south-eastern Ukraine. The seven points include halting the Ukrainian Army’s advance in Donetsk and Lugansk, withdrawal of Ukrainian armed forces from the regions, and shelling of residences, implementing impartial international supervision of a ceasefire, ending air-strikes on civilians in combat zones, exchanging prisoners without conditions, establishing humanitarian corridors for refugees and delivering humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine, and sending crews to repair destroyed infrastructure in combat zones. Putin hopes that the Kiev government and the opposition will reach an agreement at a meeting on Friday.
