Themed “Explore Quang Ngai - Where the blue sea and culture converge," the event features a paragliding performance during the opening ceremony, an exhibition on Quang Ngai’s cultural and geological heritage, and a traditional boat race in Ly Son, among others.

A highlight of the week-long event is a ceremony that pays tribute to those enlisted to patrol and safeguard the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos, said director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Nguyen Tien Dung.

"The ceremony is a cultural tradition unique to Quang Ngai Province. We are working to preserve and promote this tradition by combining it with tourism at the provincial level. There will also be a street parade and culinary events. We will propose that the ceremony be held at the national level," he added.
